You may know Gary as our Business Development Manager, however back in the 80’s Gary’s career was slightly different to his role now at Triad…
Take a step back in time to about three decades ago. The UK in the mid 80’s, a time of leg warmers, crazy hairstyles and shoulder pads. However, things were slightly different in Japan- European pop was set to take over.
With the likes of Spandau Ballet and Duran Duran being some of the already well-known names within the industry, G I Orange stepped on to the scene and this is where the story of number one smash records and sell out tours starts. The four piece band were mobbed wherever they went with a huge fan base who helped them in out selling big names including a-ha and Madonna. Over 30 years on G I Orange announced a reunion tour in Japan much to the delight of their thousands of fans, and more recently a compilation album was released which not only featured Michael Jackson, but G I Orange as track 3!
Fast forward to today, Gary and band member Karl Whitworth are back together and continuing their love of music but this time with a very different set of life experiences and musical direction. The study of well-being and personal development shines through in a collection of musical wisdom. The style encompasses soulful, natural instrumentation, world rhythms and atmospheric moments.
Music and lyrics can touch emotions and deliver a message in the most powerful of ways. A strong lyric and melody can be remembered for a lifetime and this all comes from creative thinking and bringing imaginations to life to make an impact. Everyone has their own way of expressing creativity, it’s how you think and turn these thoughts into a reality which will set you apart from the rest.
At Triad we think we are different because we think differently.
Below is a taster from Gary and Karl’s album 12, we hope you enjoy!
