Going into the 4th season in partnership together, Triad were asked to work with the Saints to produce a series of videos to promote the new kit. This included Home, Away and Training kit videos each with their own story to tell around the heritage and history of the club. Once we received the brief we couldn’t wait to get started on producing some engaging storyboards to show how these ideas could be brought to life.
The first video to be worked on was the training kit which focused on players training on the pitch and in the gym. We attended morning and afternoon sessions to capture the footage we required with the brief of ‘work hard, play hard’ whilst always keeping focus on the clothing items the team were wearing.
We then worked on the home kit launch which this year pays tribute to the Heineken Cup win 20 years ago. The video has a nostalgic feel for older fans whilst also showing the players of today. A nice touch was using old footage from Paul Grayson in the game back in 1999 and then showing his son James who is a key player today.
The emphasis of the away kit video was on the history of the club and it’s roots with Northampton. The cross that appears on the church in St James was a key feature to this video as it appears on the sleeve of the new kit.
We look forward to the season ahead and can’t wait to see supporters in the new kit!
