Eaton Electric’s MTL business has been working with Triad for over ten years on a number of digital projects as well as ongoing marketing support.
For this project we were required to relaunched their Extranet to support the marketing department based in the UK with sales information, product launch material and business information across their worldwide sales and distributor channels.
Triad designed a modular system that enables Eaton Electric to launch new sections and update the information from a secure CMS. A key requirement was to create a ‘Toolkit’ containing all the sales support material and business information for each new product they launch. Within the CMS, staff can create a new Toolkit in draft mode, publishing all the information until the launch date which then becomes available to registered users of the Extranet.
Registered users are from different levels of the business ranging from sales staff, distributors and resellers. Authentication and user level access was required to ensure the correct documents are presented to the various recipients.
The Extranet has become the single ‘go to’ place for all Eaton Electric (MTL) internal communications to staff around the world with new sections being planned and launched regularly. The most recent was an internal training calendar where staff can request to attend online webinar training and review follow up documents and support material.
