Arm is a British semi-conductor and software design business based in Cambridge. This project was the first time working with Arm and we are delighted to have produced such a fantastic animation for them.
We were asked to design a concept car of the near future and produce an animation showing it communicating with the cloud to receive a software update in a semi-remote urban environment.
The animation promotes Arm’s new open software for the automotive industry. It defines a new open standards-based architecture for software-defined vehicles, enabling cloud technologies to be combined with automotive functional safety and real-time requirements for the first time.
We designed the concept car from the chassis up, applying the principle that it should look credible and practical to manufacture.
Our design features Arm-branded elements to produce a virtual car from ‘the house of Arm’.
The video is being used as a presentation opening to be made to customers and journalists and in a social campaign.
